Personal Branding Photoshoot

It’s not easy for most people to sit in front of the camera to be photographed and it’s my job and specialty to help you feel more comfortable and confident. Paula is also a professional photographer and we know that doctors can sometimes be the worse patients. I think she did a great job of getting out from behind the camera to the front of it!personal-branding

What to Wear for Senior Portraits: Guys

Here are just a few of my senior guys from the Class of 2017! Although you guys may not be as thrilled about your senior photos as the girls, I promise it is possible to have a great time at a photo session! What to wear is just as important for the guys as it is for the girls, since these are photos you will look back on for years to come. Here’s our best tips for helping you look like the proud graduate you are:

-Bring a variety of clothes, with several different styles. Consider bringing a classic sweater or button down, an outfit with an everyday look, a sports uniform, etc. Layers are the best way to get a few different looks with just a couple of pieces, like a blazer. Even if you wear jeans and a tee shirt every day, try a nice button down for a more polished look.

-Wear solid colors, and steer clear of busy prints: Solid, earthy and dark colors will accentuate your facial features and expressions, and not detract from you. Try choosing things that show your personal taste and character, including accessories like hats, your favorite shoes, and your sports equipment.

-Please bring dark t-shirts to wear under dark shirts & sweaters and light t-shirts to wear under light shirts & sweaters. A contrasting undershirt does not look good and is distracting in the final images.

What to Wear for Senior Portraits

A question that I get a lot is, “What should I wear for senior pictures?” Bring a variety of clothing choices. Try to include clothes for different seasons. Don’t think that just because it’s summer that you can’t bring a great sweater. I LOVE layers and textures! Have fun with your outfits! Solid colors are a good choice. Remember that darker, earthy colors will show your face off the best. Bright colors will distract from you. I don’t mind patterns if they are subtle. Your outfits need to be your personal style. It is good to bring different styles of clothes so you have variety in your images. Such as a fun vintage look, a black dress or sun dress, classy dark sweater, neutral colored tops, an everyday look, a layered look, a funky or trendy outfit, an old prom dress to have fun in, your sport or hobby outfit, or a couture or sophisticated classic look. Having trouble choosing, text me some images of what you would like to bring and I can help make some decisions for you. (612-384-6328) Don’t forget I LOVE accessories too! Express your unique style with jewelry, scarves, hats, shoes, flowers, balloons, glitter & musical instruments. Be creative and give your photos that extra character. Girls… make sure you bring appropriate undergarments for each outfit. Strapless nude bras are your friend! Try on your outfits before your session so you know everything fits right. Guys… Please bring dark t-shirts to wear under dark shirts & sweaters and light t-shirts to wear under light shirts & sweaters. A contrasting undershirt does not look good and is distracting. Layers are great for you too. I love a blazer with jeans, or a nice sweater along with a casual t-shirt look or button down. The tops are more important than the lower half. Many more of the images are from the waist up.

Family Portrait Time! | Minnesota Family Portrait Photographer

Do you have a senior going off to college? Be sure to schedule a family portrait. Yes, we know you have about a million other things to do, but you will never regret capturing your family in this season before your child leaves the nest! You’ll want that last family portrait with just your children….after this, the next family images could be at their weddings! From that moment on, you’ll have new family members in your photos. A timeless photo of your family unit right now, as they are, is a beautiful and lasting memory.

As a mom myself, I can testify that I wish I had taken more professional portraits of my own family…I miss the days when my boys were young, now that they are grown! Below, I’ve included some examples of the kinds of family photos that Remember Me Photography has taken recently. Many of these were turned into paintings before framing or made into gallery-quality, wrapped canvas pieces. No matter the season or type (formal or casual) of image you are dreaming of, we can achieve it! Contact me today to book!

Kendra | Class of 2017 | Minnesota Senior Portraits

In light of our recent patriotic holiday, I am happy to share this cute senior session, where she wore shades of red, white and blue!  Kendra is from Chanhassen High School, and will be graduating in 2017. She is one of the sweetest girls ever, and is part of her high school dance team.

She picked a few different off-the-shoulder looks for her session, which has been a theme for a lot of my seniors this year! The feminine and stylish look of off-the-shoulder tops is a fun and beautiful way to beat the heat during hot summer months! Plus, you can show off your summer tan! We love this blue off the shoulder romper that would be perfect for any pool party or brunch! Rompers are so cute! The off the shoulder or “cold shoulder” style also looks perfect in cream or white, and paired with denim cut-offs. We like this version from Macy’s.

BOOK NOW! Mention that you saw Kendra’s collage here and I will give you extra proofs to choose from at your own session!Kendra proof book
