Styling Your Senior Photo Session for a More Editorial Look

Styling Your Session for a More Editorial Look

Want your photos to look more editorial? Bring a little extra something with you! Fresh flowers bring an extra ‘WOW” factor to just about everything. This is your time to think outside of the box… Whether you incorporate larger items like a classic car or bike, an awesome antique bench or chair … or smaller items like balloons, blankets or hats… even planning for just one extra styled item could be a fun way to make your session unique, especially for albums. I have some items, let me know what you are looking for.

Don’t be afraid to dress up!

There are two typically two reasons for senior pictures. One to get a classic, timeless portrait that you will always love, and the other is to express who you are right now! Romantic gown or suit and tie for the guys, tulle skirt, a fun scarf or flower in your hair, henna hand ink … don’t be afraid to have some fun!

Go Pro for hair and makeup

Professional hair and makeup is on the top of many of my clients checklist because it looks amazing on camera and removes the stress of getting ready on your own.  This is the time to treat yourself! It will give you an extra boost of confidence in front of the camera.  If you are working with a makeup artist, have her apply your makeup in natural light so that it looks fresh and not too heavy.  It might look heavier than you apply on a normal day, but makeup artists know how to get it just right for the camera – and you will love the final result.   Use your favorite stylist OR use one of our suggestions.2018-04-18_0001 2018-04-17_00012018-04-18_0002
