It’s been awhile since I photographed the Hanson’s, but it was a perfect day for it and they chose great clothing for it too! The leaves are just starting to change and it’s such a great time of year! Thanks Hanson’s!
Today is my youngest niece’s birthday. Yesterday we went to Mankato to celebrate with her. We ate Jake’s pizza and yummy cake! Happy birthday Livi!
Lisa used to baby sit me. We both grew up about 5 houses away from each other in Aurora Colorado. Now we both live in Victoria Minnesota less than 2 miles from each other. We may have never realized who the other was because our last names have changed, but Lisa recognized me because I look so much like how my mom looked 35 years or so ago!!! I also have the same mannerisms. She doesn’t look like I remember her looking, so I am so glad that she saw the resemblance and asked what my maiden name was. Here is Lisa these days. This portrait was for a new job that she is starting. I have also done her beautiful family portrait at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and at their home in the past. I am so glad that she saw the resemblance 7 or so years ago!!! Good luck with your new job Mrs. Weir!
I know what it is like to be the parent of a senior, my oldest just graduated in 2008. It can be an emotional, crazy and rewarding time. I have so much in common with the parents that come to the studio for their almost adults senior portrait. I fell your joy, pride, and emotions! I just love my job and appreciate days like this when I receive letters like this.
Lorri,
Oh my molly!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!
As a mom, being able to look back and see personality in pictures is the best…….and YOU did that in every single picture of my daughter. I can’t thank you enough for Capturing EVERYTHING about her in those pictures. YOU MADE ME CRY!…….a million times over…..and then some!
It is an honor to photograph these young adults. Thanks!
I saw my first sing of fall today. The leaves on a tree were changing. That means that peak fall photo time is almost here. Please schedule your portraits soon. I don’t want you to be disappointed because there are no session times left. They fill up fast! Call me at 612.384.6328 and get on the schedule. See you soon, Lorri
I have started a project with the Cole’s. We are going to photograph their family by this beautiful oak tree at four different times during the year, summer, fall, winter and spring. They enjoy art and these will make a beautiful statement featuring what is most important to them, family.
Here is summer.
I had never been to the Sculpture Garden before. I went their with a senior and his family for a photo session. I created one image without him in it. Here it is.
This is the big tree that the Cole’s marvel at every time their family passes by it. We finally did their family portrait by it. Here’s just the tree.
Congratulations to the class of 2009. It’s the start of your senior year. Your last year of high school. Make it a great and safe one.
Hey, everyone!
This is Shelby updating for Lorri! Lorri has hardly any time to update the blog because of all the seniors. (This is a good thing!) I’m putting up some images of recent seniors. Check them out!
It may have been a little windy, but that didn’t stop Eric and Liz from having a great day for their wedding. These high school sweethearts are a great couple and their wedding was full of love! Congratulations and best wishes!!!
Brandon received his Eagle Scout award. We couldn’t be prouder. He did a book drive for 2 homeless shelters that serve families and children. He also went and read the book to them. He delivered over 2,000 books. Thanks so much to those of you who donated and to the great friends and scouts that helped him collect, sort and deliver them! Congratulations Brandon and Troop 589!
Holy Family Seniors graduated last week and they had an all night party at the Chaska Community Center where the theme was Survivor. They played games, hung out with friends and ate plenty of good food. The meal at Timberlodge was exceptional from what I hear. Congratulations HFCHS class of 2008! Click on image to enlarge.
Andrea and Jerry had a very private and heart warming wedding ceremony with their families. The kids are adorable and you could feel all of the love in the church. Those kids are very special and their parents make great partners. It was hard to not let the tears fog the cameras! Congratulations to all of you and best wishes. Click on image to enlarge.
It snowed in Minnesota this Saturday and Missy and Eric had an outdoor backyard wedding planned. The wind, cold and snow didn’t stop this good natured couple from saying their I do’s in the brides Grandma’s backyard. If you look closely, you can see the snow flakes! Congratulations Missy and Eric! Stay warm!

Maui was the back drop for this awesome couple. They had 40 of their friends and family with them. Everything thing about the day was just perfect! Congratulations and best wishes!!!!!!
This is Rachel and her husband Andy. Rachel is a graphic artist and photographer. Andy was the best man in the wedding and Rachel was a guest and a photographer! What a fun event.
Merry Christmas from the Downs family.
Look for some new post in the beginning of 2008. I didn’t post any family or kids sessions this fall due to the fact that I wanted to get all of the orders completed that needed to be done before Christmas first. There is never enough time in the day and I was never caught up enough to post. Look for new images soon!
Thanks for a great year and I look forward to 2008!
Nicole and Jimmy were married this past weekend. It was another beautiful wedding. These two have such a great start with the parents that they have. The brides parents are great friends to us and everyone they know. The grooms parents seem to have a great bond and it was a pleasure to watch them throughout the day. Thanks so much for letting Rachel and I be a part of the day. Congratulations and Best Wishes! You guys did good!

There was a lot of kissing going on Saturday as you can see by the photos. It was another great day for a great couple. Minnesota Valley Country Club is a beautiful location. I love the ring image because Travis made Anne’s ring. Now that’s romantic. Congratulations and best wishes guys!
Debi bribed her boys and got them to do a photo session today. These are a couple I shot with my camera, all of the rest I used hers. I hope that she doesn’t edit out all of the out takes!
Frank had a really good portrait session today thanks to his sister holding the reflector and making him look good! Really, they were a good team. I just had to post the tie shot, I thought that it was pretty funny.
All this time I thought that Karl went to Holy Family. I see him at the events and he is always with the Holy Family crowd. Who would’ve guessed that he will graduate from Shakopee this year! Congrats Karl!
Garret was a little shy at the beginning of his session, but after seeing a few of the images on the back of the camera he relaxed a little more and rocked it! You are going to enjoy showing your images to the girls!
What a cutie. It was a pleasure to meet Jackie and her mom. The weather was perfect for her session. Congrats on being a senior Jackie!
Maddie came to the studio today for her senior portraits. She is a great actress and performer and I didn’t expect anything less for her portraits. In her outdoor, you can hardly tall that it was freezing and there was gale force winds!
Congratulations to Sarah and Nate! It was a great fall Minnesota day for Sarah, Nate, their family and friends. I am so glad that we got to be a part of it. Best Wishes!
Brandon and I went to Virginia and looked at some colleges this week. We stayed with a good friend of mine from high school. It was a great experience since they also have a senior looking at colleges. What a great help! I’m posting a few images of 2 of their kids. The thought was that I would do a family portrait for them while I was there. The kids are so busy, they were never all there at the same time to do it. Guess I’ll have to go back!!! Thanks guys!
Holy Family presented the play “You Can’t Take It With You” this weekend. It was a great play ans was enjoyed by all. The actors were great, the set was awesome and the whole production was top notch. Great job everyone, congratulations!
Mike came to the studio for his senior portraits. It was so nice to meet him and his mom. He’s quite and funny! Congrats Mike!
Sam is a senior too! All of these kids are growing up and what nice young adults they are. Congrats Sam!
